The staff at Lakewood Animal Hospital is competent and kind. They treat your pet like they’d treat their own. We recently had to say goodbye to one of our cats and the staff couldn’t have been more compassionate and professional in helping us through that process. I appreciate that you are in the room with your pet during the entire checkup - they don’t whisk your cat away to a back room while you sit there (I know they do that at some other vets) - and you can ask the vet questions as she does the exam. An unsigned sympathy card? Gee thanks. Nobody had time? And why don't you have ultra-sound capability? Who would want to subject their sick pet to more transit hassles? If you had it, I probably would have paid for it. I think that investment would pay for itself quickly. Thanks for caring for him in the living years.

They were so nice when I had to put my dog Goofy down yesterday. I got to say good bye to my best friend and on top of it, my sister works there so it’s nice.
The entire staff is amazing. They truly love animals and understand that your pet becomes a part of your family. Dr. Konecny is absolutely fabulous. She’ll give you all the information you need and take the time to make sure you understand what’s going on and what treatment plans are available. It can make scary or hard situations a little easier when you feel like there’s someone in your corner, helping you make the best possible decision for your pet. If I could rate her higher than 5 stars, I absolutely would.
