I regret to say that we visited your facility for the first time yesterday (under glowing city-wide recommendations) and it was not what we hoped for. Yesterday evening, we brought our new 7 week old puppy, Minnie, after she became lethargic and ill over the course of the day. She is a rescue, and we did not know anything about her background. What happened this week? I have been patronizing LAH for years: there were emergencies (understandable) so we had to wait. Gald to as an animal (s) needed attention! I paid full price for a few minutes-not the 20 scheduled . My senior dog did NOT get her full evaluation. No mention of her weight loss of nearly 10 pounds or loss of locomotion ( no time to address). When I got home I noticed that I was charged for the vet s physical skin scaping. REALLY? Always there to provide help. And very knowladgeable.
Whether it is a general apathy or tedious adherence to scheduled routine checkups, it certainly isn't a deep compassion for animals that drives them. We were turned away yesterday because they had no open appointments, even though we brought in a dying cat in an emergency situation. They did not bother to even look at him, and sent us away. Luckily, a friend of a friend is a vet and made time to save a stranger's sick cat. I think calling this place a "hospital" is a generous use of the term.
Hands down the best people / clinic around! From the receptionist to the assistants, the vets are amazing… well worth a try!
