Great hotel at Bowness on the lake. Nice rooms, great food and great service. There was one water though whom we liked initially but later we experienced him just concentrating on two guests for some obvious reasons. He just wouldn't bring the for us to sign the bill. He was rather having unacceptable behaviour towards two guests and was so engrossed in them that we had to just walk away leaving him to put the bill on the rooms. Pathetic street level behaviour by a staff member.

First time staying and what a wonderful environment to be in right from the moment you reach the main gate. The doormen are lovely and very welcoming, as are the reception staff. All very informative and aim to give you the best experience possible. The spa is divine, such a lovely place to relax and it feels levels above anything else I’ve experienced like that before. This is a difficult one to review, partly because the Mizumi restaurant is not separate from the hotel in Google Maps. I've given a 4 star review, even though the food was amazing overall. Every dish was delicious. The reason for dropping a star was a combo of the fact that the monkfish dish was £20 and had about 4 chunks of fish. Great location, beautiful rooms (hot tub and a view make this incredible for a special occasion) and wonderful service. We'll be back for sure!
