The WORST bank out there. The customer service is NEVER open. DO NOT sign up, unless you want long hold times and extremely limited hours 😄😄😄😄

I worked with a Loan officer named Ben Langenau at the Knapps Corner location and have had nothing but terrible service working with him and LMCU. Find another place for home loans or banking if you want communication from your loan officer.

Customer service is the worst! I've been trying to settle a debt/charge off with this company for 2 years already. Lately I've been consistent with going at them to no avail. I’m getting the run around. I asked for email address and names to contact someone directly. I really regret ever dealing with this credit union. I'm now seeking a better credit union in the Grand Rapids area.

We attempted to do a refi on our 5 year old condo. This was absolutely the worst experience that we have ever had with a financial institution. We started a refi with Chemical Bank in early March. This was just prior to COVID. Due to our condo being non-warrantable, Chemical Bank suggested switching to LMCU. We have our mortgage through them and it takes forever to get ahold of anyone when you call, there is no email option, and the chat option doesn’t handle mortgages. When you're on hold for close to an hour, sometimes more, you can select the "call me back" option and rest assured, they definitely WON'T call you back. The only reason we need to call is usually when they didn’t pay home owner’s insurance or taxes from our escrow account, which should be automatic. Would not recommend.
