We booked the £90 per person mini spa session & were generally disappointed. We were told when arriving that the kitchen were in a ‘flap’. We ordered a tuna sandwich & a terrine for our light lunch as well as olives as a nibble. Cold & simple to prepare - It was 55 mins later than when we booked it for & missing items. despite us explaining we needed to drive back to London & really needed to go - we were just left to sit and wait at the spa. We had a lovely 3 days here with our very nervous dog Ria. All the staff, especially the receptionist who showed me our room, were excellent and the receptionist went out of her way to locate us a very suitable, quiet room. Brilliant (and safe) grounds for the dog to run in. Fantastic swimming pool though the changing rooms could do with the usual swimming costume driers. Also, the steps down from the lodges to the road to the spa could do with being brushed to clear the fallen acorns, leaves etc making them a bit slippery. ... read more

Lovely staff, who went out of their way to help us plan our couple nights stay at the lodge. Great Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner which had multiple courses. The grounds were beautiful as well, and were up-kept to the highest standards. The rooms were lovely and spacious, and felt separated from other guests. The little village itself is also very well kept and had a sweet little train station to explore further out, which we did (helped again by staff)!
