I was sent to lafayette general by doctor because i passed out in his office and i have a very bad miagraine. My husband had to come pick me up at the doctors office. When I was in er, I was NOT ask what level is not pain. I have been the waiting room since 1130. My paper when i got here sys 3-4 hours. I ask 3 different workers how long will it be before i was seen. I CAN NOT get an answer. People has arrieved after me, seen before me and was even discharged.
I have to give a HUGE shout out to the ICU nurses at Lafayette General especially Blake and Sara. They where AMAZING, very caring and dedicated to what they do. They are definitely the right people for the job!! If I was just reviewing them, the hospital would get a 5 STAR I can’t say the same about the actual hospital which has broken elevators, horrible ICU waiting rooms and some not so great areas. I understand that it is under renovation, so hopefully these areas will be improved soon.
Thanks to Dr. Victor Tedesco IV. I am a cancer survivor. The process was easy and efficient with his calm, friendly, professional demeanor. His personality reflects his adept experience that gives reassurance to his patients. He really is one of the best. like being in a third world country in that e.r.... i left was never put in a room after waiting several hours. was charged 1490.00 for just the e.r. - not the lab, ekg,etc. AND NEVER GOT TO A ROOM !!!!!! I went to another hospital and was seen immediately by a physician and treated that is how sick I was and could not wait any longer in a line up in a hallway throwing up in front of a bunch of people. disgraceful. they are sending me to collections to pay this bill !!!! a disgrace to medicine.
