Used to be good When I first moved into the building 7 years ago, there was a full staff, good communication and even a concierge. I gave it a five star review and was proud to call it my home. Over the last 3 years, staff cuts and a budget renovation have left the LADD behind other comparable properties in the area. Holland Residential must be having issues as the LADD is their flagship property and it has not kept up with the Portland Market. Going downhill-Oct 2016 The LADD doesn't communicate with residents, takes away services and isn't keeping up with maintenance or upgrades. It's getting worse every year. Right now, construction has lagged on for several months without any updates or information provided to residents on a timeline or what is happening. The lobby is a mess with ugly, pressed wood from floor to ceiling; with the same junk in the elevators. Big Windows, Friendly Staff The front desk staff and the maintenance staff are wonderful. So friendly and helpful. My apartment has huge windows which really makes my studio feel big and I feel like I'm part of the city. The location is perfect, and I can walk to all sorts of places on sunny days. Plus I have pretty good access to the free way for my commute. Yes, its expensive. But not any more expensive then other places downtown. My only complaint is the parking. Ecstatic One of the things on my "bucket list" was to live in a downtown atmosphere, where I could walking out my front door to excitement, shopping and entertainment. I love that it is LEED certificate building, only 6 years old with a very friendly staff. My dog Parker and I just loving living here, and its conveniently across the street from the park for him.
