Coffee shop without straw doesn't deserve any star
Ordered from nasi padang stall. Nasi lemak $3.50, no discount with card. Consisted of rice, bit of peanuts, ikan bilis and egg, chilli and on slice cucumber. Price expensive i still understand. But when order came, only 1 egg and rice, chilli and cucumber, I asked the fat counter staff whether its too expensive, he say no more peanut and ikan bilis. I was so shocked. Ordered dry noodle koka at Kakak Noodle, waited for so long. The staff(guy) missed my order. And gave me the wrong order, gave me you mian instead of koka mee. And some more no egg was given to me. He asked whether i want chilli but no chilli was given too. Was disappointed in the service. Wasted my time, money and mood to eat. Staff should work on it. He did not apologise as well, even though I waited so long.
Came at 1130 on a weekday, very crowded, took some time to find seats. Tried the Chinatown HK Roast Meats, the soy chicken noodles and it was so good. Helpings was just right, noodles al dente, meat was juicy and tender, soup was ABC soup instead of the regular MSG soup you expect in a kopitiam. Truly a hidden gem in Tan Tock Seng Hospital! Abit pricey but worth it for the veggies + cucumber and soup!
Visited 30 Mar 2026 after accompanying my mom for eye examination. Had the Chinese dumpling noodles. We only saw the wanton mee store when we were on the way out. Wanton mee store should be good 👍
