Spent a week at Knoydart hide which is the perfect getaway if you want a complete break from the usual noise & bustle. Relaxing atmosphere with views of the surrounding wild flowers no matter where you are in the hide. Bath is the comfiest and the sauna/hot tub is a nice treat. Jackie & Ian are both great hosts and nothing is a bother. Excellent location just to switch off and enjoy nature. Nice walks, biking, stool making and food/drink at the old forge is some highlights. May 2nd-9th 2024 This was our first visit to the hide and we weren’t disappointed. The photos on the website are truly amazing but when you walk through the door it’s like Wow absolutely amazing and the contrast of the old and new decor really works. This is Harry our hitchhiking hairy highland coo who we picked up in Glencoe who went everywhere with us. Knoydart Hide is located in an amazing, remote part of Scotland. We booked for our anniversary and the Hide lived up to expectations. Facilities are excellent, the kitchen fully stocked with any gadget you may need but I fully recommend trying the Old Forge Pub food and the Lookout restaurant. The Tea Room on the waterfront was also excellent. The hot tub in the Hide was wonderful - the view towards the sea through the trees is beautiful and special. About 9 years ago we had a wonderful week with the entire family (11 of us) in the big house. We saw the Hide and decided we would definitely go back to stay there, and we were not disappointed. The accommodation is tastefully furnished with everything supplied to make it a special break. Thoughtful extras like Prosecco and Port were also much appreciated.
