great fusion indian lunch buffet – although the ambience could be a bit more cozier and laid-back (the intermittent live music helped a bit), the food is excellent! my significant other and i came here during lunch and caught the buffet. we were overwhelmed with the various options, we didn't know where to begin! they all looked so succulent and tasty! quite the visual, as well as delicious, feast. i love how the fusions within each indian entree complement really well and the quality is surely not to disappoint. we even met... read more

Brazilliant!! – It doesn't get better than Kiran's. Kiran Verma, the fabulous, fun, and fearless executive chef and owner of this hot spot, is back and inside the loop! She's actually back with more fireworks. My husband and I are always in the the mood for dinner here, whether it is just us or with a group of our friends. Kiran Verma has put Indian cuisine on the Texas map, and I am so grateful she has done so in my hometown. I have been waiting for an upscale, Indian restaurant in this city! The always meticulous Kiran Ver... read more

Inconsistent – I had heard all the hype of Kiran's and went there for tasting for my upcoming wedding. The food was prepared by Kiran herself and it was amazing. It was just right with spices, very flavorful, low in grease content, very high in quality. Her catering prices were $10-$15 higher per head than the average in Houston but I figured it would be worth it for that kind of food. But then I went there twice more and ordered the same things as before and got something completely diffrent. The taste was off, texture was ... read more

Consistently memorable – Kiran's is not your standard Indian restaurant . The chef-owner is a treasure who spends more time on the floor than any other chef-owner I know. The restaurant is smartly turned-out in a transitional Raj-style and the innovative Indian menu is always pleasing. The bar is tiny, but slick. Prices are not low. The food, wine, upscale ambience and sense of relaxed welcome do assuage that pang, but be prepared for a check consistent with other upscale restaurants. I am disappointed that valet parking has... read more

Wonderful twist – I loved Kiran's. The food was orginal and delicious. The prices are quite high though. Glad to see it isn't a carbon-copy of Ashiana.

Don't Waste Your Time or MONEY – I came to Kiran's expecting to get food and service similar to that of the old Bomaby Palace, and I was definitely disappointed. The entire staff has changed - I didn't see a single known face, and I'm certain by the food that I was served that the chefs are all different too. The food is nothing special - it's not authentic Indian food by any means - I feel like there's a lot of experimenting going on in the kitchen, and I certainly did not like the dishes. What was most disappointing howeve... read more

Impeccable food service & ambiance – Exceptional food and service are always consistent at Chef Kiran's restaurants. What sets her apart is her ability to add flair and creativity to traditional dishes therefore giving new meaning to the word fusion. One bite of her deliciously moist mussels or her lump crabmeat over vine ripened tomatoes sprinkled with curry leaves and you will agree. On a recent visit every dish from starters (salmon tikka, tandoori prawns, potato samosas, tomato saffron soup) to main courses (lamb vindalo... read more

Great food, wine and the best service! – Kiran and her restaurant have to be one of the most class acts in town. Kiran's creativity with food is amazing and even the non-spicy food lover will enjoy if you go by Kiran's recommendations. You will feel a part of the family when you dine here and if you are a wine snob you'll love this place. All the best wines are available and there is even a wine room to host an intimate party for 2. We have followed Kiran from Ashiana to her new venture and can highly recommend anything cook... read more

fabulous experience – My family and I went to Kiran's last night to celebrate my birthday. Kiran came to the table very soon after we sat down and greeted us and made us feel extremely welcome. From the minute we sat down the staff was helpful and attendant. We tried many dishes, all of which were very tasty. The saag paneer (sp?) was the best I have had in town. The rack of lamp, shrimp and chicken dishes were all superb. All of the sauces and chutneys were full of flavor and extremely fresh. This is a great restaurant to t... read more
