This was just a routine visit for injections. As usual the wait was short. Dr Sumida is very easy going and quite efficient.
He has been our orthopedic doctor for many years. He is great very efficient very precise to diagnose.
In the past two years, have had appointments with Dr. Sumida, to treat my right and left shoulders. Dr. Sumida is an attentive listener and an accurate diagnostic. In both occasions, the treatment prescribed was successful. I highly recommend Dr. Sumida as a shoulder specialist.
Everyone in our family has seen Dr. Sumida and he’s great. He’s taken care of my husband’s knees and operated on my son’s dislocated shoulder. I see him as well for shoulder issues. We all love him and can’t recommend him and his office highly enough.
Dr Sumida was/is very competent and organized - Diagnosed my knee injury issues quickly and accurately (as confirmed by followup mri). Dr. Sumida explained exactly what surgical repairs he planned to employ in my case, as well as the follow-up recovery and probable physical therapy actions and recovery expectations/timing after the surgery . Dr Sumida and his excellent staff were/ are organized/focused/helpful and inspire a high level of confidence.

Dr. Sumida is knowledgeable, attentive and efficient. The staff is friendly and capable. Facilities are clean and COVID compliant. Most impressive, it took less than 30 minutes to X-ray, diagnose and cast a broken leg. I would definitely recommend Dr. Sumida and OrthoVirginia to others.
Dr Sumida has my full confidence as a patient, couldn’t ask for a better doctor.
