We really enjoyed our visit. The house and grounds are lovely and the re-enactors were excellent. Very knowledgeable and totally believable. They must do their research thoroughly and they purchase all their own costumes. Thank you for making our day even more memorable. (The cafe prices were reasonable too!)
We (M36, F31) visited during the Hands on History event in August 2025. The whole experience was astonishingly brilliant. The people were the highlight. Friendly people going about their tudor-y business, ready to chat to you and make you feel a part of it. It literally feels like you're in tudor England. Would definitely recommend to adults and children alike. My one piece of advice is to get stuck in and talk to everyone- that's how you get the most out of it.
Interesting house with nice garden walks, Gardens need a lot of work, parts looking quite neglected. Good refreshment area and seating
We thoroughly enjoyed visiting, from arrival in the old kitchen through to the gardens. We loved the personal touch with all the explanations by the owners.
