Just two hours drive from Glasgow city centre and we stayed there for two nights. It was amazing service and great hospitality from two lovely Scots Neil and Irin. The slow cooked beef cheek and fish and chips are so delicious for dinner and in breakfasts we can eat local house produce eggs along with full Scottish Breakfast so nice. There is vegan and vegetarian options available too. No 6 room is best to watch hens at the back garden and can hear their cooing early morning. Dinner and drinks on a Thursday evening. Hadn't booked so arrived at beginning of dinner service hoping for a table. Young woman behind the bar was lovely and we got a table for 2 with a view of the west Kyle (beautiful). The decor is very comfortable and high spec. I had a St Mungos and my partner had a Bacardi. I had the most wonderful evening celebrating a special birthday with my loved ones. We had the sole use of the beautiful front dining room with stunning views. The friendly service and attention was impeccable. Our range of gluten free and vegetarian options were delicious . Thank you Irene for helping make it so special, we plan to be back again very soon xx
