This is a great hotel with a great staff! The atmosphere and restaurant on the river is a big plus! Special kudos to Ethan at the desk and Joe and the valet team.
Great view and location to downtown
We absolutely love the JW! Such fantastic service in every area of the hotel, nice rooms, a nice pool area, delicious food and drinks downstairs and our room had such a wonderful view of the river! We even love the smell of the JW!
Very disappointed! This has been one of our favorite hotels to stay at over the years. Our sheets had holes in them, our room was humid and in need of a refresh. Front desk offered to bring up a fan. A FAN seriously this is the JW! Maintenance came to our room at 9:30 pm to fix the thermostat. It was broken again this is the JW. The rooms are in much need of an update and new sheets. I could have paid half and stayed anywhere else.
This is the greatest hotel ever!!! I felt like I was actually at home with the huge bed & bathtub. My project got canceled while I was there, which allowed me to come home for a few days. I truly contemplated staying there instead. Christmas duties called so I begrudgingly packed my bags, but I will be back soon. All staff members were very kind & helpful.

Centrally located and connected to the downtown skywalk facilitating convenient indoor connections to the Van Andel Arena, De Vos Performance Hall, and De Vos Convention Center. Weather-permitting, the "J-Deck" is a wonderful spot on the Grand River for beverages & food.
