love those pancakes – I'm new in town and a friend recommended Julia's for breakfast. At a recent visit I tried out their whole wheat / buckwheat pancakes with blue berry filling. All breakfast spots in my old city offered regular white flour pancakes, and I was surprised to find a healthy wholesome choice here. The pancakes were great, so was the service and i'll be back to try Julia's for dinner. Thank you for offering healthy meals
Gabby – If you haven't checked it out yet, you should! There have been some changes, and they have all been for the better. Go for a perfect, relaxed brunch, or a fun night out for drinks. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. You can be boisterous with you friends, or spend a romantic evening. I personally reccommend the brunch, though, as the best offering. Settle in with your Sunday paper and enjoy food cooked to perfection and served in an appealling presentation.
excellent vegan breakfast – My girlfriend and I visited Julia's last weekend and were impressed with the vegan selection for breakfast. The waitress was very helpful with our menu selection, and when the food arrived we were treated to a wonderful meal. Definatly will give this restaurant a try for dinner.
Wonderful Time – I brought in my family for dinner and had a great time. The food and drinks were great and the staff was very helpful in answering any questions I had. The place is beautiful, lot's of time spent making it warm and inviting. Give it a try and I am sure that you will be as pleased as we were. WE WILL BE BACK!
Should have listened to past reviews... – My boyfriend and I were to meet with co-workers around 6pm at Julia's, I had read the reviews but figured I would give this restaurant the benefit of the doubt. BAD IDEA. First of all, the service was beyond slow, there were 2 other tables occupied in the room and 4 waiters standing around doing absolutely nothing?! The duck penne was tastless to say the least and it took almost an hour and 1/2 to get the food in the first place. I definitley do not recommend going to this restaurant... read more
How mistakes are a learning experience – First off the service was incredibly slow which the waitress told us was due to the fact that 4 people had quit in the last 2 days. What?!? In my opinion, four people quitting in such a short amount of time is a definite red flag. Now lets get to the more immediate reason we all visit a restaurant, the food. It was simply, a joke. Citysearch was right! – How dare I go against your advice, oh honest citysearch reviewers. I read your non-recommendations for Julia's, but the dark velvet draped exclusiveness called to me. And boy, did i get to enjoy it...while i waited for 45 minutes to receive my unsavory meal. The great foofy girly drink was tasty, but $8. Too bad...
Julia's on Broadway – Last few times food has been luke warm or cold. Poached eggs overcooked. Service poor. Once I waited 35 minutes AFTER rest of table received their food to get eggs benedict. This used to be a good place to eat but now I go there only for drinks.
I don't like to be ignored – You can stand in the entrance way too long! Hello is anyone home. I've given this place too many chances and I'm done. Where is the staff? Where is a host I never know which direction to go, well now I know OUT! It is not service to have to bother a alreafy too busy server to be seated.My friends and I love the cocktails but we've had enough. Nice try but you don't have it SORRY
