nothing special – I have been to Julia's three different times, once for breakfast, once for lunch, and once for dinner. Each time the service was slow, the restaurant was uncrowded, and the food was mediocre. The wait staff is uncaring at best, sarcastic at worst, and generally unconcerned with providing good service.
Food Ok- Service BAD! – After standing in the entry way of Julia's for 15 minutes we finally were taken to our table. We than waited at least another 10 minutes before anyone even brought our water. Once the waiter arrived we learned fast that he was not familiar with the menu. When we asked about the drink specials he stated, " I don't know, since I don't drink". We ordered our drinks and than waited another 20 minutes before they arrived. When he took our dinner order he had no idea what side dishes came with the entrees n... read more
Wow, what a wonderful restaurant! I can't believe what a great job the owner did with the old Eileen's space, absolutly love it. The food, service and the entertainment for dinner are just what we needed in this neighborhood. I'll tell all my friends
A great addition to Broadway – They have the same great food as they serve at the Wallingford location. They outdid themselves in the rehab of this space- the decor is quite lux when compared to other Broadway restaurants. Weeekday breakfast is a quiet time to go- no fighting the crowds.
Disappointed too! – Service and food was very disappointing. We order "Seafood Ceasar" salads and the "crab" was really a crab cake, smashed up and put into the salad. The shrimp had freezer burn on them. It was gross. Our waiter had a serious attitude problem and acted as if he could not be bothered. The water was warm and the Coke was flat. This place seems like it's trying to hard to fit in on the Hill - needless to say, we won't be going back.
Not disappointed at all! – While the service was just mediocre, our party of 5 all had very good food and drink! Our waitress had a bit of an attitude, but it was sort of playful, and almost expected given their Broadway location! All our appetizers were delicious, main courses were very good - my pasta was perfect - flavorful and fresh, and the desserts were EXCELLENT. Decor is cool too, and prices are reasonable. I recommend it!
Dissapointed! – After waiting for almost an hour to be seated I got to have a glimpse of the nice atmosphere inside Julias. The french toast I was told to try was no longer available (Get there early if you want to try it) and the omlet I had was very bland. To top it off our unfriendly waitress said no more than three words to us our entire time there. We were more than ready to get out of there by the time our brunch was half finished. What a waste of time. I'll give it another chance by checking out the bar some night...m... read more
