Dr. O always listens to what I have to say and even if we disagree, she is very patient. She listens and she hears. She has a fantastic way of making a patient feel comfortable and that they are important to her. She is more than an intelligent doctor and I am so proud to call her MY doctor!

I was so impressed with Dr. O’Shaughnessy. I have never had physician explain things so clearly to me about my Cancer. I appreciate everything she told me and the time that she took to thoroughly explain everything to me. I highly recommend her to anyone going through breast cancer. This lady is truly a godsend. Dr. Joyce OShaughnessy is always a pleasure to see, she is up to date on my case before entering the room with me and always seems to have a plan of action. I would not trade her for anyone.

Dr. O’Shaughnessy listens to me and addresses every concern I have no matter if it’s small. She doesn’t hear what I say as a complaint about a minor feeling I am sensing but a real issue to be looked at. As I am in “survivorship” mode now I know any potential “red flag” I am concerned about will not be disregarded. I leave with a follow up plan and am never left in the dark about my care.

She is probably the most experienced and most knowledgeable breast cancer oncologist worldwide; despite that, she is very humble and spends a lot of time with the patient in understanding the issues. One of the primary reasons we relocated to the DFW area was because I wanted my wife to be her patient. The personal touch you get with her is hard to come by these days where other physicians try to rush everything.
