My two daughters had their hair done yesterday at Josephine's. First the care and attention given to my 11 year old, who is a very quiet shy girl, was excellent. All three ladies who worked on her hair were very calm and kind, allowing her breaks when she needed them and listening to what she wanted her hair to look like. I visited Josephine's in Leeds for my dreads relocking and quite possibly had the WORST hairdressing experience in my big old 35 years on planet earth! Firstly - the customer service! Whew! What customer service?! She didn't speak one single word to me throughout the whole appointment! Not even to say she had finished or to check if I was happy with it! I have been twice, for braids and for twists on my natural hair. The braids were not bad, although they did hurt, they were done quickly. The twists on my natural hair however were so bad. The two ladies worked on my head, they were both lovely but one was very heavy handed. The twists themselves were so badly done that they created a lot of knots. I didn't realise this at the time and I kept the hair in for 4 weeks, washing and moisturising every so often. When I came to undo my hair, my ends were so twisted and terribly kn... read more
