I've been an inpatient at Bayview several times. Most of my experiences have been excellent. This time (I was discharged yesterday) was horrible. The ER was packed so I can't say too much about that, but once I was admitted.... First of all, it was as if the staff didn't read my chart at all. They seemed baffled as to why my blood pressure was high (I take blood pressure meds twice a day...if you don't give them to me on time what do you think will happen?). The hospital was great staff took great care of my mom. Only issue was with Kaiser who did not have my mom transferred to GBMC where Kaiser has beds until 11:45 pm just when she was starting to fall asleep. She then gets to GBMC who runs the tests again because they want there own results. HAS TO BE A BETTER WAY FOR THE ELDERLY TO GET MEDICAL TREATMENT!!!
