Opened in the summer of 2006 to replace the aging University Hall, the University of Virginia now holds its basketball games, concerts and other events in this 16,000 seat arena. Built almost entirely from a private donation, it takes its name from a former alumni, and not the Revolutionary War naval hero. It shouldn't be hard for fans to find, since it's right across the street from the old facility.

Def Leppard concert was great! ! Sat in section 108 and loved it!! Seats were great, right in front of the stage.; but like everyone else is saying, not enough leg room. Other than that I loved it!
I work there and I love the music and the crowd of people is great most of the time...
I went to the Def Leppard Concert last night and it was the first time I visited this arena. I was surprised that if you needed to get up in the upper sections of the balcony you would have to get all the folks to move out of your way. Just so you could go get a drink bathroom and etc... Should have shorter sections so folks could get out. Felt like a packed sardine. Next time I will know better to choose different seats...smh.
Saw Poison and Def Leppard on May 5th. Missed Tesla due to parking. But they were AMAZING. The arena was very nice. I will go back for more concerts. Parking is not very handicap friendly however. Where they parked us, even though I purchased my parking pass months in advance, we still had to walk several blocks which was a little hard since I just had back surgery. Otherwise wouldn't have missed it for the world
