Great stuffed shrimp platter with green beans. nice sized portions. Had a great server named Dan also
My husband & I stopped in for a cocktail & appetizer on our way back from La Porte. What a great find! Easy to get to right off highway. They were getting ready to close, but gladly served us. My husband got the grilled oysters, which he said were outstanding. I got the Campechana (crab meat, boiled shrimp, avocado, green chile), which was outstanding as well!
Sick of eating in a beige corporate hotel me and my colleagues took advice from a local and took the short walk through Gunspoint (sorry Greenspoint) out to Jimmy G's on a promise of great seafood. We weren't disappointed. I plumbed for 2kg of crawfish, which isn't as much actual fish as it sounds and it was simply gorgeous. The coating was spicy enough to make the lips tingle. I had not eaten here in a number of years. I remembered the decor being slightly more up scale but that's not that important. When ordering everything seemed a bit on the pricey side but then they brought the food. First, the house "dinner" salad was enough for at least two people. Then they brought our entrees . . . we should have split something!! Robert: A real gentleman. Sometimes you're just a good guy. Robert is one of those.
First visit and won't be my last! Had the crawfish Etouffee...excellent. Huge portion of calamari for appetizer-- two of us barely finished it.
Grilled oysters were delicious.
A true hidden gem! We found it because it was close to the hotel. It was delicious & I canâ??t wait to eat here again.
Best place for seafood and cajun food. Our good friend's favorite restaurant. Pros: The food is delicious! You get huge portions fir the good price. I ordered the poor boy crawfish sandwich and had to give half to my husband because it was too much for me. The service is excellent. Cons: None Recommendation: Yes for great seafood! We will definitely come here again when we visit Houston.
