Damn the grilled oysters are ridiculous!!! The gumbo was decent... But the grilled oysters make this place...
This seems like an old school place that has been around forever. I got Mama's Seafood Jambalaya $12.95 which was a huge portion that also came with some delicious buttery mashed potatoes and good green beans. The Jambalaya was a heaping portion that had both fried and boiled shrimp. I really like the contrast of texture as well as the crawfish in it. They give you free garlic bread to start which was also pretty decent.
This was a great recommendation from our hotel staff. Our server Portia was the best, super funny, great customer service and great food recommendation.
This place rocks. Sit at the bar. Order a drink. Watch Lenny cook your grilled oysters and fire shrimp. Get a bowl of gumbo and you might have room for some Blackened Black Drum and a few beers!
The grilled oysters did not disappoint... I almost drove to New Orleans to Drago's, but stopped here instead... I'm glad I did. OYSTERS is what I came for, and I'll come again.
Great food and great service. Everybody was incredibly nice. A great place to eat if you are staying at the Hyatt or nearby hotels and don't want to travel far.
A shout out to manager, Margie, and server, Linda. A slight mix up with reservation but flowers and gift certificate were waiting for us! Dinner and service was great. Thank you!
The kids chicken and fries was a good portion. I had the pecan crusted trout with sweet potato and green beans which was delicious. My husband had the blackened salmon with white rice and green beans; he ate all of it and said it was good. We also had the grilled oysters and garlic bread, also very good.
Darn good food and fabulous service by our server Sammie. Sammie was phenomenal, wonderfully accommodating our flight-weary party that included two small children close to the restaurant's close. We started with an order of baked/BBQ'd oysters on Sammie's recommendation. She was right... they were fantastic! The kids fried fish is some of the best fried fish we've ever had, hands down.
