History Established in 1987. The history of Wichita would not be complete without two names, Walter L. Anderson & A. J. "Jimmie" King. Anderson started our nations first hamburger stand "White Castle" in a rented, remodeled street car in Wichita, KS. King purchased the Wichita brand of White Castle in 1938 and changed the name to Kings-X. Our service and food was horrible. When I asked to speak to a manager they smirked and wouldn't give me anyone's name to speak with. Acted like they didn't know who I should talk to. After wasting $45 and having the food barely edible I will NOT be returning!!!! Our waitress told us that the menu changes on my husbands order and that the southern sunrise no longer came with bacon and came with sausage now except the menu clearly states bacon. It was very good biscuits and gravy sausage two eggs over easy and wheat toast and coffee my wife had the Burger Basket and it was very good my wife said it was delicious
What can I say. The GWB location is our favorite but of course it is also the closest to where we live. There is a server there that is the best. Every time we go the food is excellent and Rizzo is the best. Good food and great atmosphere, what's not to love.
