History Established in 1987. The history of Wichita would not be complete without two names, Walter L. Anderson & A. J. "Jimmie" King. Anderson started our nations first hamburger stand "White Castle" in a rented, remodeled street car in Wichita, KS. King purchased the Wichita brand of White Castle in 1938 and changed the name to Kings-X. Our food was horrible. The little jiffy burgers came out with onions on them when I asked for no onions. They scraped the onions off and sent back out. The kids wouldn't eat the buns because they tasted like onion. The burgers were charred. My cheeseburger was also charred. Onions rings tasted like old grease. Tried again won't be back!

We went to Jimmys Dinner on N. Rock Rd last night with a friend and her daughter. My family has never been there before. After eating and watching the staff, I can tell you with out a doubt we will be back. I loved the 50's theme. And our staff was friendly, prices were great. Thank you for a good 1st time experience.

The French toast had an odd taste, this was the only thing I had so I can't comment on any other food. My son agreed that it tasted odd, he seemed to like the hash browns though.

Great atmosphere! Loved the food and the service was fantastic.
Beef Philly Cheese Sandwich had no cheese. Chicken Philly Cheese Sandwich was OK but not great. Could have used more onions and green peppers. Service was OK.
