I have State Farm Homeowners Insurance and I do not recommend them to anyone. I have had wind damage on my roof and they will not cover my damages. My next door neighbor had less damage than me and got his roof replaced by Erie Insurance. Every roofer that came to give me an estimate told me that State Farm is the worst in the industry when it comes to roof damage claims and I certainly see why. Get your insurance some where else!! My husband has been a State Farm customer since 1995, though we are likely about to change this. We have attempted to use the Emergency Roadside Assistance several times, and nearly every time they have turned us down and refused to help. The only two exceptions have been when our vehicles were experiencing battery trouble. They have been genuinely helpful when we have had claims, but I think we have finally had enough with them. STATE FARM drop me on my insurance because my A/C and Heating unit under the house caught fire. They wouldn't repair my units. They said I caused the fire on my home. While I was asleep at home in My bed. I paid my insurance on time every month on time. And they didn't want to repair the damage on my house. And drop me from my insurance. I am filling this complaint. Because I need my house repaired.

An impossible company to deal with if you have a claim. They nicklel and dime you to death and take forever to respond to enquiries while your car is stuck in the shop waiting for the propper go ahead to be repaired.

Multiple times I have called only to be told I don't have coverage when it was time to request road side assistance. Fortunately the times I called I was at home needing a jump. This last time was the last straw. It was Sunday and the office was closed. You see, the two previous times were a breeze in comparison. My agent was able to verify I DO have coverage over the phone. Horrible customer service and wrongfully dropped me due to an accident that was not in my car. If I could give them a zero rating, I would have. Go with ***** or ***********. They are way better in the customer service area.

On 12/25/22 a burst pipe destroyed ~$27,000 worth of personal property (this does not include the cost to repair the room. I am still waiting on $2450 to cover those expenses. This is strictly personal property). It has been two months and so far State Farm has offered ~$11,000. I declined the offer and they cut me a check anyways even when I specifically asked them not to. Claim department did not investigate my complaint and because of that I lost my ‘good driver’s discount and I am paying accident surcharge added to my premium. They should have investigated my case properly and contacted me before paying out other party.
