Our 2022 Jeep Compass was rear-ended by a State Farm policyholder, resulting in significant damage to our vehicle's bumper and engine malfunction. State farm issued a check to me on November 22,2022 in the amount of $9,254.49 for replacement of my stolen vehicle. Months later they are now claiming that I was over paid and requesting that I pay back $6,393.39. I am not happy about this. Why should I have to pay back after they were the ones that issued the check, and to come back 3 months later after I have bought another vehicle with the check. It was their mistake. Worst service I have ever received when dealing with a claim. I would never purchase a policy with them again! We are completely disgusted with how we have been treated as a whole. We were continually told things would be done that were not done and there was never follow up. We would call and call and still after a month, NOTHING IS DONE!!
They aren't like they make out too be even with discounts that you get state farm raised my premium I made one change and put me as primary driver which I have no tickets and no accidents went from 149 a month to 170. So they really aren't that great.
State Farm claims department is the worst In the industry. They hire unknowledgeable, uncaring adjusters. They care zero about customer service. My agent is great and so are his staff folks, but claims is horrible.

I filed a claim for water damage with State Farm on March 10th. After several calls to schedule an adjutor today, he called and said he had a family emergency and could not make it. I never spend the time to write bad reviews but State Farms ineptitude has been one of the most time consuming and worst business experience in a very long time. Although I spent more than 47 days dealing with State Farm for a totaled vehicle, I still have ongoing issues. It's been a month since my accident and 10 days since my vehicle has been in the shop. I contacted State Farm 4 days ago to get the status of my vehicle and there has been no response. Very poor customer service.
