About this business

Jibarra aims to introduce a novel approach to Mexican cuisine. We take deep-rooted, traditional Mexican dishes, use modern cooking techniques and present them in a contemporary way. You combine that with a unique Spanish & South American wine list, and margaritas made with the best tequila and freshest ingredients and you get amazing results. We are located in the historic Raleigh Depot building. The former train depot, built in 1912, provides an open, high-energy atmosphere. In the center, our Tequila Tower dominates the sp... read more

great brunch While on a business trip to NC, I came here Sunday morning for their Royal Brunch. For a little under $20, you could eat fresh fruit, an entree and dessert of your choice. Everything tasted fresh and delicious.

Jibarra is a delicious, unique Mexican Restaurant Jibarra is the most unique Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. They have delicious everyday entrees but our favorite is their Sunday Champagne brunch with flavored mimosas.

Great dinner spot Tried the new downtown location with a group of friends and had a great time! The decor is modern and fun, and the tequila tower is quite impressive. My friends and I all sampled each others selections - and everything tasted great. Definitely a fun place to go for dinner before heading out on the town.

no more went there the 1st time and it was great, but every time since has been horrific. One time they sat us then forgot about us for 45 minutes. It was another 45 minutes before we got our food. You roll the dice on quality. I've had the same dish on multiple visits: one time the beef was perfect, one time it was burnt to a crisp and the other it was bloody rare. I've given this place more than enough opportunities to live up to the first time, but no more. I would recommend going elsewhere.

Jibarra I ate at the Six Forks location which has since moved. At that location the atmosphere was great, food delicious, great presentation and extremely attentive waitstaff. I was disappointed when they moved downtown (Six Forks location closer to my home) but look forward to visiting them there.

Moved Jibarra is no longer on Six Forks Rd. The owners moved it downtown and put another of their restaurants, El Rodeo, in its place. Both restaurants are fantastic. Try the corn chowder at Jibarra and the fish tacos at El Rodeo. The staff at both are very friendly and efficient, the places are clean, and the prices are reasonable. In fact, El Rodeo accepts coupons.
