Yes, I have and will recommend Dr. James Schwender to fiends and family. I had a follow up 2 days ago with Dr. Schwender from my surgery I had over two years ago on my C4 that he replaced. Everything looked great even after I had a fall this summer that whiplashed my head to the ground and caused me to wonder if I may have messed up my surgery he had preformed. But after looking at the x-ray everything looks just the way it did a year out of surgery. Which I was very thankful/relieved and have peace of mind now.
Very clear in communication of what needed to be done. Wonderful results from surgery. Listened and took time to help me understand all that was going on.
I have been seeing Dr. Schwender since 2016. He performed a 4-level cervical fusion; quite an extensive surgery. He is a wonderful surgeon, and a wonderful person!! Dr. Schwender is not the least bit arrogant; his bedside manner is like none I've ever witnessed! He is easy to talk to, he listens, and he answered my questions before I even asked them!!! I walked in to Dr Schwender's office an old woman, shuffling, in pain. We chose a conservative approach to my deteriorating spine, with a single fusion. A little over a year later, I am pain free, active, feeling great! Dr Schwender listened, saw me as a person, and changed my life!
I will be having my third surgery from Dr Schwender in the very near future. Not only do I have complete trust in his abilities as a surgeon, but I find him to be amiable, easy to work with, as the process of surgery requires many decisions. I feel that he not only explains things to me in a way that I can understand them, but he hears what I have to say, also. He is great to work with in that respect.
DR. Schwender was wonderful. He was easy to talk to and took his time with me to explain everything about my spine issues. He made me feel comfortable and I would highly recommend him.
Dr. Schwender is great! He performed a major fusion/stabilization surgery on my cervical vertebrae and the results have been incredible. He also has a great demeanor, spends time asking questions, listening and providing information. His staff is also top notch.
He one Drs around, very thoughtful and detailed. I have been seeing for over 15 yers. He is the go to guy for back issues!
Thus far I have no complaints or any issues with Dr. Schwender or his Fellow. As well, the staff at TCSC were kind and courteous. He made a recommendation to first try an epidural before rushing into a fusion. All questions that I could think of at the time were answered. He is professional, polite and extremely knowledgeable. 2 thumbs up!!
