Thus far I have no complaints or any issues with Dr. Schwender or his Fellow. As well, the staff at TCSC were kind and courteous. He made a recommendation to first try an epidural before rushing into a fusion. All questions that I could think of at the time were answered. He is professional, polite and extremely knowledgeable. 2 thumbs up!!
Staff was great. Dr Schwender was very thorough. He explained everything. Very pleasant too. I had some questions a couple days later and it was taken care of right away. They were all just great.
I have know Dr shwender for about 20 years 20 years ago he was awsome and i have seen him on and off over the year but the last couple times i felt pushed or rushed and recently my health has taken for the worse and i when i asked for his help the out come was not what i expected unless i wanted surgery there realy wasnt much help and that was relaid from his assistant who i was not impressed with from what i could tell i have been dealing with my back problem and now its getting worse fast and i was told well ya know you ha... read more

Very nice, friendly office staff. Dr Swender is a very experienced professional. He gives you suggestions that he knows will help.
Review posted on Google : Dr Schwendet did a fusion for me at L-4, L-5 this past December. A year previous to this a neurosurgeon did a laminectomy in the same area of my spine. After the surgery he told me I would need a fusion then changed his mind a month later to my surprise since I could FEEL my vertebrae in the aforementioned area shifting because of the degradation of the disk between these vertebrae. Dr. Schwender Is a very honest matter fact Doctor Who wants the best possible outcome for his patients he will give you options and make sure you understand everything clearly surgery is always a last resort I’ve come back a year later because I am now at point where surgery is very Necessary I want a better quality of life and be free of pain. I believe dr Schwender has my best interest at heart.
I have been seeing Dr. Schwender for degenerative spinal issues and scoliosis for about two years now. His careful, methodical approach has been lifesaving in that it has helped me to make careful, informed decisions. Dr. Schwender is an amazing Spine Surgeon. He listens to you and gives you options. He recommends surgery as a last resort. He is down to earth and has a great sense of humor. He answers your questions in an language that’s easy to understand. I highly recommend him. I feel blessed to have had him for my spine surgery.
