One of the worst Tax preparations I have ever received. I went into their office in ******* at *** bridge ** in April 2021 to have my 2020 taxes prepared because I was busy and wanted it filed before the deadline. After charging me a ridiculous sum, the preparer **, told me I owed taxes and gave me a copy of what he filed for me. I left. I want to give them negative starts. I paid 700 dollars to get a error free guarantee on my refund yet my return sits in a error dept untouched with no help for me yet they stole my 700 out of **************** I tried called 25 times after 8 am and the machine says they're closed. Terrible service and a scam about that error free ****. "

This office on **** took my return material and chose to charge me $600 for a simple tax return for 2 years. No interview, no questions asked just simple returns. Upon questioning they came down from 600 to $500 to $340. ONLY AFTER I ********* customer service. They asked for cash and stated they provide no invoices they do not accept credit nor debit cards and no checks. They are an independent franchise and can charge whatever they want. GO FIGURE

I went in to JH in ******, ** on May 17th 2021 which I knew was the deadline to file taxes without extension. The so called *** Preparer ******** ********* begins to file my taxes advising me I will owe due to one of W-2's showing ******. I never had a problem with Jackson Hewitt until this year filing my 2020 taxes. Here I am checking the mail for ***** check federal return Nothing. I check the where's my refund on ******** Website , to find out that they are sending my money to Jackson Hewitt. Why the filing fees were taking out when we were doing the taxes. Not never ever has my refund gone to Jackson Hewitt. Looks like they might be running a scam during the pandemic. Their is no reason that my money should be going to their jackson Hewitt account. Terrible service. Im on section 8 and welfare, spent 1 hour was charged 470.00$ when i called c.s. they were extremely rude to me. I was charged as a home owner. I can't even afford full rent and i was charged 406.00 for a homeowner's plan. I WILL NEVER use them again, i have never paid this much money for my taxes in my life. 2 w-2's 1 dependent, absolutely got robbed."

Went to file taxes with a ****** *. on Feb 3rd 2021. My husband got behind on child support during covid he lost his job several times during the pandemic but his cs remained 1000 and sadly with 3 other children in the home we were unable to pay all of it. I went to a location in ******* the lady made a mistake on my taxes and I was unable to find any info on ******* website so I called her and she pulled up my account and said good thing you called and I need you to come in and sign some papers I forgot to have you. This happened twice so I went in 3 times for the same taxes filing. And I have yet to receive my return it's going on two months. I will be following up on my return. Because of the pandemic hit last year I was unable to file my taxes for 2019, I expected for the cost to be a bit more since I had to file this year for 2019 and 2020 but the amount of cost was devastating. When all was said and done I was charged $369 for 2019 and $359 for 2020.
