From one meat lover to another... – I have been frequenting Izzy's for well over 7 years and have never, NEVER had a bad meal or experience. Within the walls of this establishment are great steaks served by real steakhouse waiters. I have a feeling the few negative reviews on this site are posted by folks more excited by French-Asian fusion or a large block of tofu than by a real quality steak served by a waiter in a white shirt and black tie. Steak Heaven – Izzy's is one of San Francisco's best kept secrets. Known mainly as a "local's" place, it is often under the radar screen of many visitors. As a local, it is my number 1 choice to entertain guests as well as for my own enjoyment.
superb – One of the finest steak restaurants I've had the pleasure to eat at.
Could be better, could be worse – Nice atmosphere (on the very casual side) for fun, very loud restuarant so don't go there for romance. Limited menu (very rarely do they serve a ribeye, only as a special on occasion) for a steak house but very consistant. Good stand an upgrade in attitude from the wait staff.
Twins – We have been going to Izzy's yearly for some friends birthday(twins) for about 5 years. It is wonderful.It is a great occasion as we all have children and do not get to the city very often. Yes, I am now an "over the bridge and through the tunnel person."I always look forward to this occasion. good – IZZY'S STEAKHOUSE IS THE PLACE TO GO FOR A JUCIY STEAK, NICE ATMOSPERE, GREAT SERVICE
Best steak for the $$$ – This place has a great steak, and the sides are included, unlike other places. For about $26, you get a monster steak, plus the sides. Don't miss the medallions, and sides of Izzy's own potatoes, and creamed spinach.
