We arrived for lunch. We were warmly greeted and enjoyed lunch on their patio. Beautiful views and peaceful atmosphere. Service was perfect and the food superb. Thank you to all for taking care of us.

Fantastic country hotel. We stayed in a walled garden room which was amazing and had great views of Ben Nevis. The staff couldn’t do enough to help and really went out of their way to make you feel welcome. Definitely will go back especially for the scones, and shortbread biscuits

The overall experience was deeply disappointing. The hotel entrance and grounds are severely neglected. A walk through the gardens revealed overgrown plants, weeds, and a clear lack of care—hardly charming, more reminiscent of a crumbling country estate left to decay. The driveways are patched and poorly repaired, further emphasizing the lack of upkeep and serious underinvestment. The staff were generally pleasant, but nothing close to five-star service. Not a real castle. Original in ruins near bye. Biggest pretentious hype in Scotland. Low quality food, poor experience. Tiny portions. Way way overpriced. Expect to drop $600 minimum for table of two. Does not recognize special occassions. This clan won’t get fooled again. Will allow them an opportunity to make it right for a better review… will await a reply and update soon.
