The staff was friendly and accommodating and the grounds were beautiful. The one downside was the mattress being extremely uncomfortable and a stain on the comforter. The room also smelled like camp and there was a lot of dust build up behind the head board. All in all we would recommend for this experience.
Wonderful and restful !!! What a treat to be there in March and see those fantastic Azaleas . Kayaking and the beautiful rooms = Perfect!
Me and my wife stayed here twice in the last few years, and it's nothing short of magical. I've never been to a more peaceful and relaxing place. There's so much to do and see just within walking distance of the Inn, we probably spent half of our time visiting Charleston just exploring the grounds of the Inn. Kayaking, walking trails, laying in hammocks, visiting the farm and Middleton Place next door. I plan on staying here again any chance I have.
We have stayed there many times but unimpressed this time. Our room was not ready at checkin and we had to wait an hour. Server at restaurant was confused and slow. Waited almost an hour to get breakfast off menu next morning there was only one cook. Used to enjoy 2 hour happy hours with free beer/wine and warm appetizers.... thats gone! All the things that made this place special are being taken away
