RecommendedI love this place. It is so peaceful and wonderful. I love the stack of wood for the fireplace. We used the fireplace when we were there. The stables were a very nice place to visit and ride the horses. I thoroughly enjoyed my ride on Brownie. The grounds at Middleton Place are gorgeous and peaceful. The breakfast was delicious. You can't go wrong if you stay here. Loved it!

Very beautiful, romantic setting. Woods, trails, gazillions of garden paths... Our room was very romantic overlooking the woods and river and the restaurant on site was great food, also romantic. We went in May 2018 and the weather was perfect. Took a kayak down the river, relaxed by the pool, ran on the miles of wooded trails, walked the garden paths and the plantation house tour was very good.
Had an ecellent time. The grounds are beautiful and kayaking the Ashley river was amazing. Rooms were great but outdated. Would be five star without question if amenities were updated!
This was our third stay in at the Inn, and it’s always been just as magical as the last time. Being surround by natural beauty, excellent service, and so much to do in the area, every time we leave we know we always have a new plan to add onto the parts we love. The morning ritual for breakfast begins the day with a slow stroll taking in the air, the sounds, beautiful Oaks, the swaying moss.....the rest of the day... barely even matters.
