The best place in all of Pittsburgh to get Indian food if you're a student living in Oakland on a budget without transportation options.

You can't go wrong – They do have a buffett service on Sundays. I always wanted to try that - but never did. But this is a great place. The food is quality the drinks are great. The best part for me, is the nan bread. The onion - potato breads are my favorite by miles. I also like the setting of the place, its a great place to go during their "special" hours.

Very Impressed With The Food – After living in the DC area for a few years with top notch Indian selections, I knew coming to a new city it would be hard to beat. However, I was quite impressed with this restaurant's food and come back pretty regularly.

The Food Is Delicious – One of the greatest culinary experiences you an have. I went here for the first time just the other week, and had an incredibly pleasant experience. The owner is one of the nicest guys I've ever gotten to observe managing while I ate. The food is delicious, helpings are generous, atmosphere is perfect for an Indian restaurant (nice lighting, great color scheme, plenty of art), and it's right above the best place to sing Karaoke in Pittsburgh on a Thursday night! You can't beat it!

Happy with everything – Went to India Garden for thanksgiving dinner this year. refreshing break from all the turkey heads. they served a buffet with an impressive variety of fresh hot food and cold bar with salads and raw vegetables. something like 20 beers on tap with daily specials. ordered arrogent bastard ale and the not so english speaking waiter repeated it as "american bastard".. funny. this was probably my 5th visit there and i am consistently happy with everything. i could go every day.

Food okay service not so much – We tried to have them deliver food to us twice within a few months time. The first time the food was two hours late and the only concession they could offer was that, "They were backed up." The second order was an hour and forty five minutes late and the driver offered no remorse. The food was good but the bad taste left in our mouths by having to wait so long was unforgivable. If we would have been there in person, we would have walked out before the food arrived.

The naan was just right, the chicken tikka masala was on point, as was the aloo palak and the chana masala (or so I'm told, chickpeas gross me out, I may be the only human alive who dislikes hummus.) We got something else that I wasn't familiar with -angoori paneer- which was billed as a house specialty, it was some cheese cubes and cauliflower in a a thin creamy orange-y sauce, pretty good. All in all, I'm really glad that Garland has such a good Indian option and I'm sad I didn't try it sooner!
