Seriously Great – Half Off? Count me In!: Mike and I recently went to the India Garden on our Trip to Pittsburgh and we were taken there by native resident/new-found friend who frequents this great restaurant. Great tasting authentic indian food. Loud bollywood music make a decent conversation difficult but half price during happy hours (9-11pm) make it easy on the pocket.
Hooked Me on Indian. Food, that is. I've been coming here for nearly six years, and the food is the best in Oakland (best Chicken Tikka Masala I've ever had). The prices are fair, though I find the service hit or miss. I'm going to assume some of the guys just have better things to do with their time. Who am I to judge? The naan is delicious.

Excellent Food – After reading the reviews on another site, I was concerned about dining at India Garden, but we were in Pittsburgh to visit the University of Pittsburgh and we wanted to get a feel for the neighborhood, so we decided to give it a try. The food was excellent and the service was very good. Within moments of being seated we were given drinks and a basket of bread. Great late at night! – One of Pittsburgh's best Indian restaurants. Go late at night for half-price specials.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Pittsburgh. I only enjoy going when certain dishes, like all of the chicken and some biryani dishes are half off, making them about $6.00. Otherwise the dishes are $10+. They ask you the spicy level and a number 9 is very VERY hot, even for someone like me who loves spicy food. Definitely would recommend – This is a good restaurant. The food tastes good, and there is good service. The atmosphere is alright, and the overall value is great. I am positive you would enjoy it.
