worst place to go n eat – India garden is the worst place to eat, first the servers r so bad they dont even smile to greet, secondly food is so nasty its hard to swallow, third they dont even listen if we say there was some problem in food , forth the portion is very small, last not the least its all together killing your money when u go there. DO NOT BUY FOOD FROM THERE, I think they use the left over food for next day
Still my fav Indian place in the Burgh – Indian Garden is still my favorite place to eat Indian at in Pittsburgh. Try their Dahi Aloo Puri Chaat as an appetizer!
india garden is excellent – If ur looking for the best indian food in pittsburgh, maybe even in the state india garden is number one. iam a student at CMU for one year now and was worried when coming here from India that it was not possible to find good indian food here but india garden exceeds my expectations. they offer top quality foods at good rates. service is excellent a really nice girl was always refilling my water. I reccomend the paneer tikka mahkni it is a tomatoe cream sauce with cubes of goat cheese homemade bes... read more
don't trust what they tell you – I placed an order with them and alerted them that I am allergic to nuts. They informed me that there were no nuts in anything I ordered and there would not be a problem. Well, they were wrong and thankfully the nuts were so big that when I cut into my samosa they were visible. The worst part, was not that this happened but that the manager's reponse was "all right". He did not say, I am sorry, did not offer to comp the dish, nothing. All he said was "all right". I did not eat anything, but pe... read more
No smiles here – Not a place to go if you are looking for friendly service.. sometimes it is intimidating walking in! Their food is so-so, I would stick with their vegetarian choices such as their chick peas and eggplant. They do have great half price specials.
Terrible place to eat... – The cooked vegetables are not very fresh. The photo you see up in the left-hand corner doesn't resemble the inside of the restaurant at all (the restaurant is dark inside, and there are no table cloths or plants). Very noisy, even loud atmosphere -- not a good place if you like to talk when you eat, because you'll have to shout. Service is exceptionally cold and unfriendly.
About this restaurant... – First off, completely disregard the picture. The inside looks nothing at all like that! Indian pop/rap music videos are played very loudly at night. So if you want to have a convesation with someone while you're eating, expect to have to yell over the noise. Horrible service. In fact, worst service I have ever experienced at any restaurant. Servers are both very unfriendly and unhappy. If you want more water you literally have to take your glass up to bar and ask to have it filled. Plus they won't ... read more
Best Indian Restaurant in Pittsburgh – Excellent food. And no, I'm not being paid by them :) Half price 4pm-6pm and 11pm-1am Youve got to try the chicken korma and the matar paneer! The taste is great, although the food is most definitely not for people who are trying to loose weight. Service is average.
The tastiest Indian food you've been meaning to try, but haven't yet for personal reasons. – The Scene If you define an "India-like atmosphere" as an abundance of red, yellow, and green lights shining while Indian music plays on loudspeakers, then India Garden is capital-a Authentic. The clientele is both exotic and everyday: international students from Asian countries, Pitt kids whose palates extend beyond Forbes-Ave burger joints, professors of obscure subjects. The Food Do not fear curry. Like most Indian places, the Gard... read more
