Wow! It was better than expected. We ate lunch there: 3 kids meals, a healthy plate of food for me, 2 drinks and one dessert at the cafe for under $13. I got to shop on my own while the kids were being entertained, and cared for. I loved how the show rooms creatively set the stage of the interiors of homes, with small spaces on up. What I didn't love, was having to snake around the whole bottom level to the check out lanes, on the opposite end of the building. There are no short cuts, sadly.
I loved the store, but had an issue with an associate giving us incorrect information that added an additional 30-40 minutes to our shopping trip, and once I got to the register to check out, one of my items didn't have a barcode on it and know one made a effort to get the UPC code so I wasn't able to purchase that item. I think the customer service could be better. All in all I really enjoyed shopping at IKEA and will give it another shot.
It was unusually busy but expected due to it's new opening. I must say, I'm a head Chef and have been a manager (9 years) in the food hospitality industry for 36 years. I've been to IKEA from Seattle to The East. Not sure if they're just new, but I have higher expectations for the Ikea Bistro and Cafe. Busy but tables dirty, coffee area a mess and not stocked, no one taking about the awesome meatballs, snacks or doing table touches with guests. Where do I apply? IKEA deserves better!!!
Spent four hours there......found exactly what I was looking for. Restaurant was very nice...a great place to take a break!
Beautiful new store! Went on a Tuesday & it was not very crowded. Lots of helpful staff, plenty of parking.
