Extremely Disrespectful and Unethical Behaviour I had a very unpleasant and upsetting experience at Hux Kensington, London. On Thursday, 30th October around 4:40pm, I went in to look around the place, but the staff particularly the person at the door/reception was extremely rude and dismissive. Lovely styled hotel with very friendly staff, comfortable and clean rooms on a perfect location on the dge of Hyde Park
Amazing and friendly staff. There was a great musician playing in the lounge when we arrived. Room was small but comfortable. Great shower and cozy robes. Only thing to note is the abundance of animals, unsure if taxidermy or faux but there are many of them all over the hotel so if that’s not your thing, maybe not the spot for you.
I regularly stay at Hux and find the staff excellent and in general the rooms. However this time a bad overnight water leak and cracked tiles in the bath room made me lose some faith in what is usually great. Told the chap when checking out but didn’t make a note of it. I’ll be back, but please fix for the next guests.
We should’ve left our high expectations at home! The Hux Hotel has loads of personality, and its aesthetic was totally our taste. That said, your experience will likely depend on the room you get. We stayed in a Signature Room and, although we knew it would be small, we weren’t prepared for just how tiny it was. The high ceilings helped a little, but with sealed frosted windows and a hot, cramped en-suite, it felt quite claustrophobic.
