I really wanted to love this place, it’s super cosy and decorated nicely. The location is lovely too. However, the hut was generally not clean enough, especially the bed which was covered in dried dirt, hairs and stains on the pillows. To add to this there was an awful smell of decay that no matter what we did, did not get better. I’ve communicated this to the owner with no response. We could only sleep there as we were so exhausted, but left promptly in the morning as we couldn’t spend any longer than necessary in the hut.

Amazing hide away location, no phone signal or internet Nearest pub about 20 mins walk and ulverston 49 mins walk So peaceful and Hillary the owner is amazing and leaves nice treats Highly recommended for one/ two/ three night retreat Been 3 times now and will always return

Superbly peaceful hideaway in glorious rural surroundings. Self contained cosy hut, with some lovely decor and fully stocked essentials. Spotlessly clean, amazing attention to detail. Even on a gloomy, cold, wet November night, the mighty Hobbit stove worked its magic and kept us more than toasty. Would highly recommend. Thanks Hilary!
