Stayed last Friday and was very happy with our stay. Room was lovely. Staff were very friendly and we had drinks and ate in resturant. Would recommend.
Exceptional service from all the staff, very accommodating and helpful during our entire stay.
What a fantastic surprise turning late on a friday with my mum and 2 daughters for my 13 year olds birthday stay. As soon as we arrived we had the warmest welcome from a wonderful woman on the desk. Immediately made it fun for the kids making it personal for them. After checking in we then got walked up to our room and showed us in and made sure we had everything we needed. The hotel and the restaurant are separate business. £18.00 for a burger and chips. It should have been served on a saucer as it was so small. Appalling value for money. Do not believe the image on the website, this is what was served. So avoid the restaurant. We also booked so called Wellness room with a spa bath, the room was nice, but the Spa bath did not work. Such a shame that the Hotel & Pub are now separate businesses. The entrance to the hotel is really strange, round the back & through French doors into the breakfast area. It was much nicer through the pub but that is blocked off. Stayed in Room 2 (suite) very comfortable furniture/bed but the fittings are old & rusty & need updating. Windows were grimy & mouldy. Kitchen extractor fan was outside the window so made it noisy & smelly. Breakfast was not freshly cooked. It was made earlier & was cold. Staff seem nice but inexper... read more
