My father drove us from South Yorkshire to Newquay for a lovely holiday. He drove overnight and we called at The White Heart hotel for breakfast. This was 1958, I'm now 76 years old. It was really exciting to which I never forgot. What a beautiful place too. J Allen.
Popped in for food yesterday with the family. The vibe is very dated but the overall service was good. Food was standard and what expected we orders the burger and baked potato for the kids. However the food orders from the Indian menu was poor quality and I would advise the kitchen to sort this out. The chicken biryani was obviously microwaved but was edible. The lamb curry on the other hand was tasteless and I would best describe it as a warmed up lamb liver casserole. Yuck!

So want this place to succeed as we need eateries in Launceston, but after our latest visit, it's trying, but fails to deliver. Not a relaxing atmosphere with Heart FM blaring away, restrictions on not allowing food in the comfy lounge area, tables very sticky, food ok but they must get their simple orders right. On a scorching Friday afternoon last week, not allowing access to the garden, for no reason. Just had a dinner there for a local charity event. The revamp from the new managers is really nice. We had a group from 4-77 years old and everyone cleared their plates and enjoyed the food. Service was really friendly. Very pleased with it all. Good value for money.
