Poor customer service! I didn’t feel like my business was wanted at the University Branch - Jackson, MS
I really wanted to support a community-oriented financial institution so I opened up a checking, savings, and share account a few weeks ago. Every step of the way there has been frustration. I can't order checks online, I can't apply for overdraft protection online, the app didn't allow me to deposit a check, and every time I tried to call the bank, I was on hold for long wait times. So today I closed all of my accounts. You need to get your act together.
Was told over the phone by an agent and also read information online that i would be able to open an account and not have to be in a branch. I don’t live in Ms or near a location. I wanted to be apart of a BLACK OWNED BANK but with false information and lack of wanting to assist has caused me not to be able to do so. I’m disappointed because we as people want to help each other but not willing to go the extra mile to do so.
I opened an account because it’s usually easier to get approved with credit unions than with traditional banks. However, I applied for a personal loan today to pay off student loans and was quickly denied hours later. As a result, I went to the credit union to close my account but the lobby was closed so will be going tomorrow. Glad I maintained accounts with the bank because looks like it’ll get approved with them
Very disappointed
I been with Hope Credit Union for 6 months i believe. I started getting my work deposit 1 day early. Now its the day of. As of tonite 12 midnight i have no deposit. So i will be reconsidering my bank options. The overdraft fee is outrageous and i have unknown charges on my account...crazy.....ask me to come in the office to file the issue. I work cant take off. My former credit union in Montgomery, Alabama became Hope Credit Union and I have lost all of my former records, all my bill pay information & auto payments, and all my direct deposits. It is next to impossible to actually reach someone by telephone -- long hold waits every time. I wish I could actually speak to someone in the Montgomery branch, but even when calling the 'local phone number' I'm connected to someone in a different location. If I can ever get this account straightened out, I will be moving my money somewhere ... read more
Since merging, it has been a complete nightmare! Can't even withdraw � out the ATM nor make pin purchases. No one is ever available to take your call and there app is completely useless! Time to find another banking company! Didn't ask for the damn chip debit card either. Total waste of business with this bank. Tired if hearing "I apologize", fix your business!!!
