Ellis County Honor Flight Honor Flight National has numerous hubs operating all across the United States with a common goal, that is: to take as many of the remaining WWII veterans as possible to Washington to see the WWII Memorial before it is too late. We are losing 1000+ each day of these heroes from the "Greatest Generation". They and their families served and sacrificed so we as a nation can continue to enjoy the freedoms we have today. They honor war veterans in a sincere and gracious way. I experienced it and appreciate it.
My grandfather had the honor of the Honor Flight. He is a WWII Army Veteran. This was an honor. A complete joy for him to experience and meet other veterans. He met so many new friends, it was cute. He’s in his nineties and loved every minute. Thank you for the opportunity and for making an old man overjoyed! We are so proud of him. I loved standing at the airport and welcoming them home—and to see all the people who came to see them too, it was fantastic. I loved meeting the other Vets too! ❤️
Saw them 2x’s in New Bern NC. Absolutely wonderful and will never forget.

My son was honored to play TAPS for the San Antonio Honor Flight yesterday, what an amazing program. I was humbled to meet the vets and shake their hand. Thank you for this, they deserve so much for what they did for our country.
