Ellis County Honor Flight Honor Flight National has numerous hubs operating all across the United States with a common goal, that is: to take as many of the remaining WWII veterans as possible to Washington to see the WWII Memorial before it is too late. We are losing 1000+ each day of these heroes from the "Greatest Generation". They and their families served and sacrificed so we as a nation can continue to enjoy the freedoms we have today. Honor Flight, through the corporate sponsor Snap On Inc. provided my father with one of the best experiences of his life. It was cathartic for Dad and helped him rid himself of some war demons. I cannot thank the organizers, staff and volunteers enough for giving my father this gift before he passed.

I happen to be in the Arizona airport yesterday when I heard everyone clapping . To find out it was a group of vets about to go on the honor flight . I have never heard of this organization . I got the pleasure to be on the same flight as these vets and their guardians . The games they played on the flight was amazing and fun . The volunteers who stood outside of the plane with signs - were amazing ! I currently serve in the army national guards .
