While tenants are expected to clean shared facilities themselves, don’t expect your fellow flatmates to maintain basic hygiene in the kitchen, toilet, bathroom, or corridor. You will be completely on your own. I constantly had to flush and clean up someone else’s mess just to be able to use the facilities comfortably.
