I would like to express my sincere appreciation to all the staff at Centre Gate. They have always resolved any issues I encountered with remarkable speed, and their support has made my stay in Bristol genuinely comfortable. When I first moved in, the receptionist welcomed me with the warmest smile and immediately helped me sort out a minor room issue. The Ethernet port in the dormitory is not working. Reporting for repairs doesn’t solve the problem, and I haven’t had any usable internet for a long time. Anyway, I don't recommend you to stay in this hostel. There was no hot water before, and they promised to solve it within two weeks, but it took half a year to solve it. Now there is no internet to report the problem and it cannot be solved. There is also no public rest area as promised by the dormitory, and the front desk is not open 24 hours a day.
Terrible Living Experience – Avoid at All Costs This property is a nightmare. The hot water has been out for weeks, despite countless complaints and promises to fix it. Management is unresponsive, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. I’ve had to deal with constant stress, physical illness, and worsening mental health because of their negligence. It is perfect in terms of location. Most places are within walking distance. The room is decent. Good support from the manager. But no common area such as gym. But there is Luxe Gym nearby.
I’ve stayed here the past two years and I’ve loved it. The room is lovely and it’s a good location from the uni.
