Very good experience. The only suggestion I'd make is to have better signage for minor surgery, including where to go and where to check in. Once you find minor surgery, you see a prominent sign saying "Minor Surgery". Across the hall is a sign that indicates the minor surgery waiting room. What's unclear is whether one should notify the staff in the room labeled "Minor Surgery" that you're there or just sit in the lobby across the hall and hope someone knows you're there.
If i would of known how fast it was to see me I would of came here more often then going to baystate. Great experience..
Individualized care, patient- centric, caring, highly trained team, especially in the Birthing Center!
I was born there in 1948. The place has changed substantially since then, if course. In 2012 my wife was a patient admitted through the E/R and they gave her excellent care. The E/R was old but well managed, I can only believe this new addition will make Holyoke Hospital the premier health care facility in western Mass.
I was recently hospitalized 3 times for a serious illness. The emergency department was efficient and very caring. When on the floor the nurses were excellent as well as all the other staff who came into my room. The food is also vey delicious here at HMC. I would recommend this hospital.
