The cottage is lovely set in a beautiful well manicured courtyard and gorgeous countryside. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook. Plus full size freezer! Sofa is huge and table easily seats six as described. Beds are comfortable with lovely clean linen. En suit in each room was a luxury also. Everything was amazing. Such a cute and rural location but so close to everything needed. It was so clean, the bedrooms were cosy. Probably the comfiest beds I’ve slept in for a while! Was a group of us and it was perfect for a few days away!
Really lovely farmhouse cottages in a wonderful rural location. I think that compared with York hotels, these offer exceptional value for money and I would not hesitate to rebook. Great communication from the hosts made everything very easy. A wonderful stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the beautiful Owl cottage. It was peaceful, well equipped and very well designed. The courtyard area with koi pond was a lovely place to relax. Our dogs loved the enclosed paddock to run around in. Honestly nothing could have been better.
Cottages are not as well maintained as with the previous owners. Multiple blown light bulbs, broken blinds & curtains, stained carpets, worn furniture. Still a great location.
