Visited this Jewellers on Tuesday 8th July. I received a warm friendly greeting from the two lady assistants. Upon entering the shop I knew that I wanted to purchase a Christening present for a one year old little boy. However I didn't know exactly what. Both ladies were very helpfull and willing and took time to make suggestions and recommendations which I appreciated. Fantastic service in this well stocked shop. Don't be put off by the prices of the pieces in the window. I went in, told her my budget and what I wanted and several pieces were brought out to my specs. I'm a wheelchair user and the shop is very accessible. There is a gentle ramp into the shop, and the door was opened by the person who served me. I sat in my wheelchair to look at the options. I had one of the worst shopping experiences with Hollins and Hollinshead. My parcel arrived tampered with, and key contents were missing. I immediately reached out to customer service, expecting a professional resolution, but instead, I was met with nothing but poor communication, excuses, and delays working with Royal Mail. They pretend to be investigating the issue, acting as if they are working on my claim, but in reality, they are just stalling and lying to avoid issuing a refund. Really impressed with their online service. John Lewis had let me down with an 18th Birthday present and when I found the same item (cheaper) I was thrilled, but slightly worried as it wasn't a well known company.
